Warm up for the day!

Boys and girls were going to dive back into our toy chests for our Barbies and our Gi-Joe's!

A Barbie is 1 foot tall and has 7 inch legs. If Barbie was a real person, and she was 6 feet tall, how long would her “real” legs be?

Think about this for a few minutes then write in your journal for 15 minutes on your thoughts.

Warm up for the day!

Continuing on our journey through ratios, and scaling! Take the first 3 minutes of class to play with the hot wheels car I gave you to get ready for our fun discussion question of the day!

Would you drive a Hot Wheels car if it was 7 times the toy size? 23? 30?

Quick write or draw in your class journal your answer for the days question. :)

Warm up for the day!

Welcome class to room 514's blog space!

This week we will be going over ratios, proportions, and scaling! I want to start the discussion today with a quick write. Think about this question for 5 minutes before writing.

Michael Phelps is one of the most decorated swimmers in the world today. Think of possibilities as to what makes Michael Phelps one of the fastest swimmers of all times?
